Jorum will be at Dev8eD: will you?

Posted by Sarah Currier on 14th May 2012

Dev8eD: “A free event for building, sharing and learning cool stuff in education! Tuesday 29th – Wednesday 30th May 2012, Birmingham, UK.” - organised by DevCSI at UKOLN, and CETIS, this is an inaugural developers' hack event specifically for those working in educational technology.

Previously, the more general Dev8D events have been hugely successful at bringing together developers and others interested in cool tech across all the areas JISC is involved in: Dev8eD promises to be a fun and fruitful event. And people interested in ed tech who aren't developers are starting to turn up at these events and get a lot from them too; the atmosphere is relaxed and creativity is encouraged. New ideas can be seeded, and old ideas can be worked on directly with prototypes and lightning talks and training sessions galore.

I will be at Dev8eD, and am looking forward to catching up with anyone who wants to discuss their requirements for Jorum, or ideas for working with Jorum, or for contributing OERs to Jorum.

Ben Ryan, Jorum’s Technical Coordinator (Service), will be attending on Day 2 to pick up on anything that comes up on Day 1 and offer direct technical knowledge and assistance, plus his planning head to get your ideas for future Jorum plans.

Hope to see you there!
